Threaditor's thread editor is the core of the application, and where you're likely to spend most of your time. Every time you open the app, you will land on a blank editor, ready to begin writing.
The navbar on the left (desktop) or bottom (mobile) is used to navigate between pages.
The top "create new" button will create a blank new editor.
The "last edited" button will always take you to whatever you were last working on.
The "home" button will take you to the home page.
Along the top of the page are thread options. From left to right:
The thread title is a short name for your content, and will be shown on the home page. This will be automatically set when your thread is first saved.
The saving indicator displays whether your thread is saved to the cloud. When this is loading, it means your thread is currently saving and you should avoid closing the page. Clicking on this button will manually save your thread, but this should usually occur automatically as you make changes.
The category button will display a menu that you can use to add your thread to a category. Categories provide quick ways to group your content.
The favorite button will toggle whether this thread is favorited. Favorite threads can be quickly sorted on the home page.
The publish button will open the publish and schedule menu
The platform toolbar is in the bottom-right of the screen, and can be used to control which account or group you're writing for, and the settings for this platform.
The reorder posts button will switch the page to reorder mode, which provides a method to quickly drag and arrange posts. This mode is especially handy for reordering large threads.
The platform settings button will bring up the settings for this account or group.
Switch account/group allows you to change the account or group you are currently writing for. You will always start with your default platform here, and can add more using the "+ Add a platform" button in the far right.
In the top-center of the page is the writing toolbar, which provides tools to modify whatever you're currently writing. These tools will apply to the post you're currently writing.
Font & text styles creates "fonts" using special characters, and will apply to any highlighted text.
The post numbers button opens a menu that allows you to add magic post numbers to your post.
The device preview button changes the width of the editor to approximately match the width of a post on desktop and mobile devices. Clicking this multiple times will cycle through the widths.
On mobile, this toolbar will only appear while the keyboard is up, and does not have the device preview button.
The posts are where you will be writing, and are designed to act as a preview of the content as you write. The account handle and avatar will be that of your account or group, and the post you are currently writing will be highlighted.
In the bottom-left of each post is the select post toggle. When one or more posts are selected, a new toolbar will appear at the bottom that allows you to move or delete multiple posts at once.
Next to this, the add image button will appear, and can be used to upload media to that post.
On supported platforms, an add poll button will also appear in this row, and allows you to add a poll to this post.
In the bottom-right of each post are the media and character counters. Both counters will show you the upper limit of how many images and characters you can have in each post, and exceeding this limit will prevent this content from being publishable. The media counter will only show if at least one image is added to a post.
